Gandhi Memorial College of Education for women Jammu was established in 1955 and is situated at Raipur Bantalab Jammu and Kashmir in India. Spreading in an area of 1.75acres the college has a total student strength of 193 and faculty strength of 10. The institution offers four unique degree courses, these are; B.Ed for students who wants to pursue careers in teaching, B.Com (Hons) for the business inclined students, B.Sc Information Technology for students who are inclined to the world of technology , and BA Mass Communication for the ardent media enthusiasts.
This college has state of art facilities meant for improving on student’s learning experience as well as their total personality. A computer lab with the modern facilities and technology coupled with internet connection is the central core of IT facilities. The college library a store house of knowledge has books more than 9600 titles, international and national journal, encyclopaediasand reference books. As the preparation stage for a future educator, a well-equipped psychological laboratory contains numerous tests and apparatus important for understanding intelligence, personality, attitude, and aptitude. They also have recreational rooms for indoor games and also provided sporting facilities to help the college clients improve on their health. The facility also is equipped with a multi-purpose auditorium of 300 seats which that act as college events and activities arena.
It offers four full time programmes in the Sec and TEY disciplines in its Gandhi Memorial College of Education.
