Gandhi Vocational College started in 2000 is an affiliated college located in Guna of Madhya Pradesh, India. Located in a 4 acre piece of land the institute aims at providing a total of 52 courses spread over nine degrees in its current enrolment strength of 243 students. The college has reputation for offering quality education the result of which was endorsement by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Having obtained the recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), it empowers 25 committed faculties and provides a reasonable student-teacher ratio.

The college consists of various facilities which are recent and focuses to improve the learning environment. It has a well stocked library which contains numerous textbooks, reference books, magazines, daily research journals and periodicals, both in English and Hindi and photocopying facilities are also available. The general layout, furniture and resources in the experimental area of the psychology laboratory provides for the more practical parts of the course. 

This college also adopts inclusion of smart classes, a fully equipped computer laboratory and wireless campus internet connection to enhance Information Technology learning environment. For the comprehensive development of students the institute has some more sporting facilities such as play ground for different games & sports, gymnasium, and an auditorium facility for the students to express their talents in cultural activities. Other facilities in the compound are the canteen, health centre with first aid equipment for cases of emergency and transportation for students and staff.

Gandhi Vocational College has provided diverse programmes in academic. The institute’s course offerings are offered at different levels such as bachelor's education (B. Ed, B.Sc, B.Com, BA), Masters (M. Ed), Doctoral (Ph.D in different fields), Diploma and certification courses and vocational courses (B. Voc). The B.Ed and D.El.Ed programmes which admit 100 students each are worth mentioning here. The college also continues traditional and developing fields of study such as B.Com in Computer Applications, B.Voc in Software Development and Floriculture, and Landscape Gardening.

That means admission to Gandhi Vocational College differs from programme to programme. Admission process for the B.Ed course also depends on merit list originated through the marks of examination then conduction of counselling. The M. Ed programme admissions is also merit-based as this one and the ones that have already been explained above. 

The admission procedure for D.El.Ed programme is done usually on merit in the qualifying examination and / or entrance examination including norms of state government and university. While details as to which tests are accepted by the college, they are mentioned to include this list of the entrance examinations. Though information regarding scholarships was not found, Viswananthan said the college offers various courses and very elaborate facilities making it among the best colleges for students in need of quality education in Madhya Pradesh.
