Ganga Sheel School of Nursing, Bareilly Admission Process

Ganga Sheel College of Nursing, Bareilly, conducts the admission of its various nursing programs to only the qualified. A student can pursue programs like B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, GNM, ANM, Diploma, and M.Sc. Nursing. Usually, the admission is for that period of the year. However, no specific date is announced.

Admission to B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing programs is primarily on merit. That means the institute pays attention to the candidates' performance in the qualifying examinations. Admission to GNM and ANM is again on merit and through an entrance test as well. Some diploma programs expect candidates to write an entrance examination.

Application Process

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Sc Nursing: Admission to a 4-year B.Sc Nursing program is strictly on merit. For the course, 40 seats have been earmarked. Only candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination with science subjects are eligible to apply. Total fees estimated for this program approximate Rs. 318,500.

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing: This is a 2-year program with admissions based on merit. Currently, the course has a total of 30 seats available. Candidates are eligible if they have completed their GNM course.Successful completion of the course will cost the candidate approximately Rupees 180,000.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): Admission to this program will be awarded on the basis of an entrance test followed by selection based on merit. The institute has a total of 50 seats for this program. Estimated costs for this program are around Rs.190,000.

The ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery): This method of securing admission requires an entrance examination followed by selection based on merit and is similar to that of the GNM program. There are 40 students' seats allotted in this course. The total cost for the program is about Rs. 130,000.

M.Sc. Nursing: The institute offers the M.Sc. Nursing program with an intake of 20 students. Specific conditions for admission have not yet been laid out; however, it is prudent to surmise that these will be based upon a candidate's performance in a B.Sc. Nursing or equivalent degree.

Diploma Courses: Schools will offer many diploma courses, including Emergency and Trauma Care Technician, Physiotherapy, Operation Theater Technician, and Cardiac Care. Depending on the program, admission to these courses will be made either through an entrance test or through merit.
