Gargi Agriculture Research and Training Institute (GARTI) which was set up in 2006 is a well known education centre located in Nashik of Maharashtra. Being affiliated, its a co educational institution which has taken a special place among the students in the field of Agricultural and technological learning. Located in a consolidated 1-acre area, GARTI provides 6 courses across 4 degrees for 277 students in total. The institute has a strength of 15 well qualified faculties with dedicated commitment towards grooming students.

Gargi Agriculture Research and Training Institute has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to show it is a lofty academic body with institutional merit. It is an ongoing project since July 2008 and features a range of documentation and Internet and encourages the culture of learning through researching. The laboratories of GARTI for wine brewing and alcohol industry consist of highly technical analytical facilities for soil and irrigation water analysis, wine and beer, and whisky analysis. In turn, the importance of computer literacy, so necessary for the contemporary world, is met by teaching students the necessary level of computer literacy. The institute also offers guesthouse for teaching faculty and health centre with first Aid services or facilities for the community.

Degree wise Admission Process

This course imparts specialized knowledge in wine production and technology.

B.Sc Computer Science: This department has an intake of 80 seats. Candidates who are looking forward to computer science as their career option are advised to join here. Admission should be based on 10+2 examination results with specialization in science group, especially Mathematics and Computer Science.

M.Sc Wine, Brewing and Alcohol Technology: This postgraduate course has 24 seats. Candidates with a relevant bachelor's degree in science or agriculture are eligible to apply. The selection process may include consideration of undergraduate marks and possibly an interview.

M.Sc Computer Science: It has an intake capacity of 30 seats. It is a postgraduate program for students who desire computer science with advanced expertise. Usually, admission at the M.Sc level is on a merit basis after the bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or allied fields.

B.Com: This undergraduate program in commerce is ideal for students interested in business and finance, with a large intake of 120 seats. Admission is usually based on 10+2 results, with a focus on commerce or related subjects.
