Gauri Himalayan School of Science and Technology, Dehradun are a constituent college of Gauri Educational Trust, Which was started in 2013. This institution is situated in a small area of land measuring 1.94 acres and provides many courses to suit various areas of specialization. This college takes a total of 360 students and has a staff of 12 then it offers an appropriate concentration. Currently, the institute comprises of 6 courses in total which are offered at three degree levels including Computer Applications, Yoga Science, Engineering etc.

Here some of the facilities available in the college to support student learning and college experience. This huge library is the Central Library which provides a seating accommodation of 425 readers spread over an area of 2400 square meters. In fact the knowledge center currently boast of more than 17 thousand monographs, over a thousand foreign journals – predominantly e-journals, 119 Indian journals and more than 4 thousand back volumes. The student’s provisions include the male and female hostels chock full of services such as the provision of daily newspapers, a telephone line, TV among other complimentary services in the specified common rooms. The campus has Wi-Fi cafeteria and multi-system enabled facilities which make it easy for the Wi-Fi to reach all departments, greens and other areas in the compound. To ensure the students get meals from the college, there are hygienically provided and cheap eating places within the college compounds, known as canteens. To the extent of transport, the institution avails a strong transport unit consisting of 59 vehicles, 17 of which are luxury buses and 7 as ambulances to ease on transport from home to the institution.

The academic programmes of the Gauri Himalayan School of Science and Technology include a large variety of courses being oriented toward bringing its graduates to successful careers. In total, the institute teaches six courses which include full course of BCA, B.Sc in Yoga Science and Holistic Health, Diploma Courses in Civil, Computer Science, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering etc. These types of classes are meant to provide the learner with the needed academic content as well as the skill and experience for the real world of work. 

Admission of students at Gauri Himalayan School of Science and Technology differ from one course to another. Students interested in BCA programme are offered admission as per merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 (Class XII) examination. The B.Sc in Yoga Science and holistic health have such selection criteria of merit and first come first serve basis then personal counselling and medical fitness test. For, Diploma programmes in Engineering the college takes into the account the marks obtained in the qualifying examination however; the extra weight is given to the UA-JEEP qualified candidates.
