Gawande College of Pharmacy is located in Buldana, Maharashtra, and was set up in 2015. It has also established credibility among the following professional bodies: the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Gawande College of Pharmacy aims at providing a customised education experience in the area of pharmacy, with a total student enrolment of 391 students and a faculty strength of 26 members. There exist several facilities in the college that improve the learning experience of students in college.
Gawande College of Pharmacy has a library that helps to access literature and studies in the pharmaceutical field, which improves and enriches students. They provide up-to-date laboratory facilities with modern equipment and technological assistance to ensure that the students practice on apparatus and technology that is relevant in pharmacy. Realising the need for physical health among the students, many opportunities for physical training at the college facilities are provided. For the school’s added convenience, transportation is provided for students and other personnel as well. In addition, the college also has a good alumni base, and this makes them support their students by linking them with potential employers.
Gawande College of Pharmacy has designed and implemented three pharmacy courses in order to meet the educational requirements and educational division existing within the pharmacy sector. Of these, the college offers a four-year programme, Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma), with an annual admission capacity of one hundred students, and a two-year programme, Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma), with an admission capacity of sixty students. Both programmes are degree courses, which are full-time programmes meant to impart intensive knowledge and practical experience to learners about pharmacy required to practice pharmacy competently.
The fee structure for the B.Pharma is Rs 268,000 for the course per annum and for the D.Pharma, Rs 134,000 per annum. These well-planned and carefully designed courses are intended to come up with pharmacy professionals who can effectively fit the job market in the pharmaceutical sector. The other course is M.Pharma in Industrial Pharmacy, with a duration of two years.
