GBR College of Education, Anaparthi was started in the year 2003 and is a boys and girls College primarily for developing future educators. Again the college is affiliated to Andhra University located in the state of Andhra Pradesh in East Godavari district and the college has a total area of 5.515 acres. These programs are recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and GBR College of Education offers two programs specifically in the field of education. The college currently enrolls 74 students and employs 9 faculty members, which makes it have a close knit campus. This strategically targeted school aims at providing quality education hence it’s focused on only two degrees with specialized training in teachers. 

To support the tailored education process, the college has available a great number of facilities that can facilitate the student learning processes as well as contribute to their personal development. Rich library facilities are seen as important since they offer the information needed by the learner on the path towards becoming an educator. The college’s laboratories, are a very important factor for practical training in education since it is an earlier stage of practical settings. At GBR College of Education two largely full-time courses are offered with an intention to promote teacher education at different stages. The B.Ed programme has hundred seats and it is meant for those learners who wish to be teachers of secondary school. The admissions for the Diploma in Education (D.Ed) course are 50 seats and the course trains students for teaching in primary schools. Both of the programs are two-year full, time courses where future educators receive strong preparation in the theory and practice of education. A total student intake that the college has is 150 showing that it offers quality education in teaching field with keen focus on large number of intakes.

GBR College of Education follows the admission policy of merit, which is followed by the State Government as well as the University with which it is affiliated. Concerning the B.Ed program, candidate reaches admissions either through marks scored in the relevant examination or entrance examination.
