Geeta Jyoti Shiksha Mahavidyala, Rewa, an affiliated college, was established in 2008 in Madhya Pradesh, India. This co-educational institution is located in a tiny 1-acre piece of land, focuses on teacher education. The college is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), this makes the college to meet the required standard as it offers its courses. The total enrolment of students in the institute is 185 and the faculty strength of the institute is 17 which directly benefit the students by giving them a focused learning environment needed for future teachers. 

Geeta Jyoti Shiksha Mahavidyala has developed various amenities aimed at improving learners’ experiences. The library is one of the vital academic facilities and possesses 6,560 books of 793 title such as encyclopedia, journal, and dictionary. The available literature in its broadest sense range from drama, modern and classical novels, educational and psychological literature. In addition, the college has functional laboratories for practical exercises to take place. As for the physical activities and recreation, there is a provision of a sports room containing different equipment. There are computer, TVs and cameras together with the display of geographical educational tools like globes, maps, and climatic instruments. The college functions and meetings are held in a multipurpose auditorium with 200-seats capacity for students.

Geeta Jyoti Shiksha Mahavidyala has only one course Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). This is a fully contained, two year course approved for a total of fifty students intake. The B.Ed programme is one of the programmes aimed at preparing students for the teaching profession through the provision of teaching professed knowledge.
