Geetanjali Institute of Pharmacy, Udaipur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Geetanjali Institute of Pharmacy (GIP), formally set up in the year 2006, is one of the constituent colleges of Geetanjali University based at Udaipur in Rajasthan. This is a private institute found on a large piece of land of 35 acres; it has been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) further improving its reputation in the provision of courses in pharmacy. GIP boasts of a comprehensive pharmacy programme offers diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate as well as doctoral courses for educational flexibility. At present, the institute has a team of 18 faculty members who are well trained and committed to creating a proper teaching atmosphere for students. 

There are many amenities in the institute which has been put in place with a view of improving the learning environment. The students are accommodated in separate hostel for boys and girls so as to provide them with comfortable accommodation and security. Facilities are modern with professionally equipped laboratories, so important for practical training in pharmaceutical programmes. A good library with good collection of books, journals and other information resources in place provides a one-stop-shop info point. The institute is also pursuing students health with facilities such as a campus hospital and a well-equipped gymnasium. For recreation and physical fitness, GIP has available a variety of playing fields for various Indoor and outdoor sports. The campus has clean cafeteria, ample hall and auditorium for events and seminars and transport facilities also are available and efficient. To meet these social responsibilities, the institute has campus-wide Wi-Fitech facilities, computer laboratory facilities that facilitate students’ increased use of information technology skills. In addition, banks inside the campus also provide extra amenities to the students and staff of the university.

The pharmacy courses offered at Geetanjali Institute of Pharmacy include 8 courses at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels of study. 

The admission into the Geetanjali Institute of Pharmacy depends on the course of study. In postgraduate courses, that are M.Pharma, the institute uses scores from the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) for admission. This is entrance examination which is on national level and one of the most important criteria for admission to the M.Pharma programmes. Admission to the Ph.D. programmes are made meritorious on the basis of the Pre Ph.D. entrance test conducted by Geetanjali University.
