Nursing and GNM, the selection of candidates is completely merit-based and the final admission to these programs happens through the centralized admission process. However, the remaining two-hour sessions, the Post Basic Diploma courses in Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing, have their own procedures for admission, which may involve an entrance test and an interview.

Application Process

The application procedures are based on the programs at the GH Patel School of Nursing:

For the B.Sc. Nursing Program and GNM:

1. Candidates should apply through the Central Admission Committee of the Gujarat State.
2. Fill out the application form provided by the Committee.
3. Submit all relevant documents, including academic certificates and proof of eligibility.
4. Wait for the admission committee to publish the merit list.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc. Nursing: The B.Sc. Nursing Program at GH Patel School of Nursing, admitting 40 students, will be chosen by the Central Admission Committee of Gujarat State for all categories of students on a list of merits such that every applicant is equally entitled to apply and be chosen.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): A total of 25 students will be admitted for the GNM course. The same Central Admission Committee of Gujarat State will be responsible for the admission, which is on a merit basis, just like for the B.Sc. Nursing.

Post Basic Critical Care Nursing: The admission procedure consists of 5 specialized diploma programs admission through PPP and may be a different selection from the undergraduate program.

M.Sc. Nursing (Medical Surgical Nursing and Paediatrics Nursing): Five seats are offered in each of the M.Sc. programs. The candidates for admission are based on merit and the marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by Bhaikaka University, followed by an Interview for shortlisted candidates before the Admission Committee of Bhaikaka University, which will require the submission of all original documents.

The Post Basic Diploma Programs in Cardio Thoracic Nursing and Neonatal Nursing are also Degree-specific programs; the seat numbers, however, remain undisclosed. The admission for these courses may be separate in the application and selection procedures.
