Girivasan College of Education was started in the year 2007 and it is an affiliated college situated at Dharmapuri, Tamilnadu. It is a teacher education institution providing Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) that has been accredited by NCTE; National Council for Teacher Education. Out of the student population of 350, the College has a total student intake of 114 and faculties of 6 which make the endeavour of preparing would be teachers more concentrated.

Girivasan College of Education has only one course in its catalogue: Bachelor of Education (B.ED). This course of study is full time with an approved annual capacity of 100 candidates; many students are trained educators in a given academic year. B.Ed programme helps the students to provide knowledge and practical experience for their successful career in teaching profession.
