Gitanjali College of Pharmacy, Birbhum, is a somewhat new institution, founded in 2019. This affiliated college at Lohapur Village, Nalhati, in the Birbhum District of West Bengal, spreads on 4 acres and has two specialised courses in pharmaceutical education. The institution is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, not only at the stage of establishment but also at the stage of continuation of the approval to assure quality education and to meet the industry standards. The aim of both these programs is to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in the field of pharmaceutical sciences so as to enable them to face the challenges in the fast-emerging healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.

The admission process in Gitanjali College of Pharmacy is based on merit and inclusive. Admission to this college's B. Pharma course is done through two major entrance examinations; first, the Joint Entrance Examination (Main)/JEE Main, and secondly, the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam, and WBJEE.
