Global College of Engineering and Technology, Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, was established in the year 2008 and is an affiliated university college. GCET has its campus sprawled on a sprawling 10.265-acre campus with a variety of programmes in the field of engineering and management. GCET is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and so is a premier institution that believes in imparting quality technical education.

Global College of Engineering and Technology has well-equipped infrastructural facilities to support its academic endeavours. The institute offers 6 B.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. At the postgraduate level, the college offers an MBA programme and M.Tech specialisations in VLSI Design, Thermal Sciences and Energy Systems, Power Systems, and Digital Electronics and Communication Systems. The college also runs diploma programmes in various engineering disciplines.

The admission process in GCET is mainly entrance-based. The college offers B.Tech courses, whose admissions are based on the entrance scores of AP EAMCET. Students who wish to pursue a diploma apply through the entrance scores obtained in the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test. For its postgraduate levels, the college offers admission based on the entrance scores of the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test. These standardised tests guarantee fairness and competitiveness in the selection process for all candidates.
