Global College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Kadapa, is among the top institutions that provide various engineering and management courses. The college has a rigorous admission process to choose the most eligible candidates for its different undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The admission process of GCET usually starts in the months leading up to the academic year, which begins from August-September. Admissions are made in the institute on the basis of different state-level entrance exams, depending on the course. AP EAMCET rank (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) is taken into account for undergraduate courses, whereas postgraduate courses are given admission on the basis of exams such as AP PGECET (Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test) and APICET (Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test).

Application Process

The application process for GCET is different for different courses:

For B.Tech courses:

For M.Tech courses:

1. Clear AP PGECET exam.

4. Complete admission formalities at GCET in case of seat allotment.

For MBA course:

1. Clear APICET exam.
2. Complete the state-level counseling process.
3. Select GCET in seat allotment.
4. Report to GCET for admission if given.

In Diploma courses:

1. Pass AP POLYCET.
2. Enroll in the state-level admission process.
3. Select GCET and desired diploma course.
4. Fill up admission processes at GCET if given a seat.

Degree wise Admission Procedure

B.Tech: GCET has 5 branches of B.Tech with a total of 300 seats. The admissions are made through AP EAMCET ranks. The courses are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The students must have passed 10+2 with the PCM as subjects and AP EAMCET pass.

M.Tech: 6 specializations with 108 seats for M.Tech are available in the college. The admissions are mostly based on AP PGECET scores. The specializations offered are VLSI Design, Thermal Sciences and Energy Systems, Power Systems, Computer Science and Engineering, Construction Planning and Management, and Digital Electronics and Communication Systems. The concerned B.E./B.Tech degree must be held by the candidates.

MBA: There is an MBA course intake of 60 students in GCET. Admission of the students is based on their APICET scores. The course is made to enhance the managerial and leadership skills of the students.

Diploma: The college has 5 diploma courses with a total of 300 seats. It takes admissions on the basis of AP POLYCET (Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test) scores. Diploma in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering are some of the courses it provides.
