Global Institute of Management, Amritsar (GIM) is one of the prominent Institutions, which was setup in the year 2008. Campus of the institute is however established at 11th Km Stone, Sohian Khurd, on Amritsar-Jammu Highway (NH-54) and it has total area of 7.6 acres. As an affiliated college, GIM proudly provides various programs including both humanities and sciences. A total strength in terms of students is coming up to 1,309 and on the faculty side we find that 82 members are serving in this institute. GIM offers a mix of boys and girl which makes it given a very peculiar understanding of gender mix. Institute offers 11 courses and 10 specializations for students in management, computer applications, commerce, and hospitality.

GIIM Amritsar is determined to create appropriate teaching infrastructure to support students to get a qualitative education. The institute has a well stocked central Library separately for boys’ and girls’ sections having more than 32000 books including Magazines, National-International journals & Newspaper. In addition to the services provided, the library provides e-books and e-journals, making it one stop shop for scholars. 

In as far as health and wellness is concerned, GIM has a fully operational dispensary with a female doctor available during college time, while specialized doctors are available in case of an emergency. Modern sports complex both indoor and outdoor facilities are available within the campus and it is mandatory to participate in some sports activities. Students can effectively exercise their bodies since a new gymnasium with modern facilities has been put in place.

In total, the institute delivers 11 courses including undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. These include MBA, BCA, BBA, B.Com (Hons), B.Sc Medical Lab Science, BHMCT, B.Sc Agriculture (Hons), BTTM and MHMCT as full time courses. The total approved intake capacity for all courses offered is 1309 with individual course offers having seating capacity from 30 to 120. For example, the MBA and BCA take 120 students respectively while the BBA and B.Com (Hons.) take 60 students each. The program of Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science has a carrying capacity of thirty students. These programs/subjects are sensitive to different student career choices and academic fields of specialization.

Admission process of the Global Institute of Management, Amritsar is very rigorous and proper procedure is followed in the admission procedure. It can be a merit based admission process followed by the norms of the affiliated university.
