Gnana Vikas Polytechnic Chitradurga, also known as (GVP Chitradurga) is a private polytechnic institute that was established in 1986. The institute is affiliated with the Directorate of Technical Education and recognised by the Government of Karnataka. GVP Chitradurga courses are offered in the Engineering and Architecture streams. GVP Chitradurga offers full-time diploma courses in five specialisations such as Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering. 

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for applying to the diploma programmes offered by the institute. Gnana Vikas Polytechnic provides various facilities to the students, such as a library, classrooms, playground, hostels, seminar halls, auditoriums, transportation facility and laboratories.
