Hello Aspirant,

As per your category and percentile in CAT and after considering your academic performance and diversity there are quite less chances for you to get into GIM Goa because CAT cut-off for GIM Goa generally variates around 90 percentile but apart from this one also should clear the sectional cut-offs so according to the cut-off mentioned by you, you have quite less chances for GIM Goa. But apart from this you may have chance in some other B-Schools like :-

  • TAPMI, Manipal
  • Department of Management Sciences, University of Pune, Pune
  • Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Usha and Lakshmi Mittal Institute of Management, New Delhi
  • Woxsen School of Business, Hyderabad
  • SCMS Cochin School of Business, Cochin

Hi Nilesh!

Congrats on your Score in CAT! Definitely along with your CAT Score, other parameters like 10 +2, UG Marks and your performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview do matter for admission in top MBA Colleges. For admission in IIM you do NEET percentile above 99%. But based on your Score in CAT, below are some of the Colleges where your Score was under their closing scores in 2019:

  • IIM Ahmedabad
  • IMT Hyderabad
  • IIM Calcutta
  • DoMS IIT Madras
  • ICOFP Mumbai
  • ICFAI Business School, Pune
  • Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai.

But, this is based on Cut Off of 2019 and it changes every year. It is difficult to predict them. Let's hope for the best!

Hope this is helpful!

All the best!

With this percentile, IIMs might be out of question. You might have to opt for other B-Schools. Before we give you the list of the Colleges that you can apply for, we shall give a brief of GIIM Goa and IMT Nagpur. GIM Goa has 4 programmes and each one has a different shortlisting criteria. You can check the complete process at: https://www.gim.ac.in/2019/how-to-apply.php#eligibility. But to give you a faint idea, for example, for PGDM HCM the process is as follows:

Candidates will be shortlisted based on over all profile.

There is no specific cut off

The main focus will be to admit students with profile mix

Every Candidate who is eligible and has applied for this programme and has been shortlisted will be interviewed.  So you do have fair chances for a seat in GIM, Goa.

IMT Nagpur follows slightly a different process. Their weightage is as follows:

CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT percentile

35%

Academic score of Graduation

25%

Work experience

10%

Academic Diversity

10%

Group Exercise & Personal Interview

20%

Total

100%

You need to have atleast 80 percentile and above to  be shortlisted for IMT Nagpur. Those Candidates shortlisted based on their Test score will be also called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Based on the performance in these rounds and other factors included, the final merit list is prepared. You can check that at: https://www.imtnagpur.ac.in/admissions. Now you do have fair chances in both GIM Goa and IMT Nagpur based on your profile. Apart from these 2 colleges, your other chances might be in:

IIT Kharagpur

Great Lakes

UNIPUNE

Delhi School of Economics

Fore School of Management

Nirma University

Hi there,

I hope you are doing well. It is not possible to predict the level and intensity of the competition . Because many competition has been conducted that are also fiercely hit by discrepancy like CLAT but the competition didn't go down .

So , before results you can't expect that much percentile from such a low score.

Thank you

Hello Aspirant,

Basically take into consideration the following things

  • Work ex
  • Extracurricular
  • Academics
  • Your  score
  • GDPI

So depending upon your academics your profile is great you will get the call !

Try to score high in  because you have high chances of getting profile+score based call with  high percentile.

See both the colleges are good and they both have their own advantages and disadvantages, their own pros and cons and their own uniqueness.

SCMHRD is a better MBA college as per my own personal opinion. I would choose it because the college surroundings is extremely well and so is it's infrastructure. I've heard a lot about it's teaching faculty and facilities as well. And it has got good placement opportunities too.

Hi

The popular deviation at the MAT is 25 points. Even although the MAT is scored as much as 600, nearly

ninety percent of the population will score someplace between 200 and 425. 99 percentage of the

populace will rating between 2 hundred and 450, with less than 1 percent of test takers scoring above

this.

Candidates must have minimum 50 in keeping with cent marks in combination in class X and/or XII and

Graduation so one can be eligible to apply.

National Level Test/s score: 50 percentile in any of the management exams - CAT / XAT / CMAT / MAT

/ ATMA / GMAT / NMAT / HBSAT.

For MBA in FinTech, best candidates who studied Maths/Statistics at the UG stage are eligible to apply.

Hi,

Well most of all the college's and universities accepting the GMAT or GRE score have the possibility of getting the scores from the testing agency directly. Contact the testing agency and ask them to send your scores to the college concerned.

I hope my answer helps.
