Gojan College of Teacher Education, Chennai: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Gojan College of Teacher Education is one of the established teacher training institutes situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu formulated in 2008. It is a coeducation college which is an affiliated college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education of India[NCTE]. Located on eighty acres of land, the college has offered two teaching programmes in education. Currently, Gojan College of Teacher Education has 24 highly professionals and committed teachers to foster the prospective teachers for future. 

Gojan College of Teacher Education has many state  of  the  art equipment to facilitate learning in the college for the students. This library is a resource centre which contains 6571 number of books on different demining relating to education, teacher education, educational technology and psychology etc. It also provides access to 9 journals; three of which are professional educational journals and one encyclopedia set is also provided. They can use learning materials on computers that are situated in the computer laboratory, which is supplied with World Wide Web connections and contains 24 computing machines. In order to nurture the students in all- round manner, the college has made sports facilities both indoor and outdoor available to students within its large playground. It also has boys and girls hostels for 500 and 200 students with single room for final year and postgraduate students.

It provides two full time course in field of education at Gojan College of Teacher Education. In B.Ed programme the intake capacity is 100 and in M.Ed programme the intake capacity is 50. Both programmes are meant to be finished in two years, allowing the students to achieve profound knowledge in pedagogy and practices. 

Regarding the admission procedure of Gojan College of Teacher Education it gives the admission to the students based on their merits they got in qualifying /entrance exam. The B.Ed programme at present follows admission policy of the state government, UT administration as well as the affiliated university. Likewise for affiliating M.Ed programme the selection criteria are done as per the norms set by the State Government, University or UT Administration.
