Gourishiv Polytechnic, Khatav was started in the year 2010. It is an affiliated college located in Satara, Maharashtra. The college stands AICTE approved and offers engineering diploma courses to its students. The polytechnic campus is based on 6.89 acres, providing an atmosphere that is conducive for technical education. 

The facilities provided by the institute will help enhance the students both academically and personally. More than 3,000 stock of books in the library and more than 40 periodicals and technical magasines will definitely be a great aid to the reference and research works of students. Under the Book Bank scheme, students are provided with textbooks on nominal charges. Students having interest in sports and physical fitness, the college has indoor and outdoor games for recreation. The indoor recreations include table tennis, carom, and chess. Volleyball is the outdoor game.

Gourishiv Polytechnic offers four full-time diploma programs each extending for three years. It comprises the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Computer Engineering, and Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The total approved intake for these courses is 300 seats, with Mechanical Engineering at 120 and the remaining three programs at 60 each. All courses are tailor-made to provide students with a strong background in the respective courses so that they can be better placed in different industries related to engineering.
