About Government Aizawl North College, Aizawl

Government Aizawl North College, Aizawl better known as GANC was established in 1988. This affiliated college is located at Chaltlang, Aizawl, Mizoram and it has been catering to the need of the academic community for more than three decades. Gujarat Arts and Science College is spread over 0.21 Acres of campus is fully accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, or NAAC. As of now, the college offers education to 1, 257 students and has 37 committed teachers as its faculties. GANC proclaims 7 undergraduate courses all of which falls under the Bachelor of Arts programme with concentrations in humanities and social sciences.

Government Aizawl North College has put in place various facilities that can improve the educational achievement of student in the college. A library plays the role of a knowledge provider which make students to receive a great amount of necessary academic materials. As a result of a push towards embracing the technological revolution, GANC the provision of computer rooms with internet enabled systems for users by both students and staff. The college canteen offers the comfort of a break area and dining hall for students as well as members of faculty. A vast practical experience is another advantage of the department in which departmental laboratories are provided to acquire practical knowledge. Similarly, at GANC, general developments can also be supported by several co-curricular activities such as NSS and NCC activities. Other activities include the Red Ribbon Club, Literary Club and various social_current issues other committees make for an active student life.

Government Aizawl North College (GANC), is a well-established institution situated in Chaltlang, Aizawl, Mizoram. The admission procedure of GANC typically adheres to the academic calendar of Mizoram University, to which it is affiliated. The CUET UG test will be held from May 15 to May 24, 2025, in online mode.

Degree wise Admission Process

BA English Honours: Fifty students can pursue this course. The students are allotted on the basis of their results in CUET UG, particularly in English subject test. The total fee for the course is Rs. 11,770.

BA Geography Honours: The intake of 50 students also has its admission to this course. Candidates are enrolled based on CUET UG performance, given priority to the subject test of Geography. The course fee is Rs. 12,670.

BA Economics Honours: 50 seats are available for this course. Entry to the course is based on the candidate's performance in CUET UG, especially in the Economics subject test. The fee for the course is Rs. 11,770.

BA History Honours: GANC has 50 seats available in this course. Admission is done on the basis of CUET UG marks, with preference for the History subject test. The course fee is Rs. 11,770.

BA Political Science Honours: It has 50 seats. Admission is done on the basis of CUET UG performance, i.e., the Political Science subject test.

BA Mizo Honours: It has a capacity of 50 students. The course considers CUET UG marks in admissions, with priority to the Mizo language test if available.

BA Education Honours: GANC has 50 seats for this course. The admission is given based on CUET UG marks, considering the Education subject test if written. The fee of the course is Rs. 11,770.
