Government Arts and Science College, Kangeyam is well-known educational institution was started in the year of 2013. This affiliated college is situated in Kangeyam, Tamil Nadu, and it provides many programmes of study. GASC Kangeyam campus is a sprawling one and has spread over 16 acres today making them opted as a prime educational institution in the region. The college has an increased enrolment of 867 students, and has almost equal proportions of male students that constitute 54% and female students that constitute 46%. It is a Chartered Institute that provides 26 courses within 8 degree programmes that include Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral studies, in areas of Arts, Commerce and Science.

The following facilities are available for the students at GASC Kangeyam to improve effectiveness of their learning. The library is important because apart from accommodating large books and journals, it provides a source of books for college needs. To the same extend of the sportsmen the institute ensures that they have well equipped sports facilities in order to promote on extra workout and togetherness. The college also has modern IT facilities to serve the students that is to improve the overall learning processes. Science students have practical learning requirements that are met by departmental laboratories. Further, it has arranged separate hostels for boys and girls to accommodate the students of Kangeyam, who come from far away places, in a very neat and clean environment.

It avails a wide range of programmes for education from basic level to the university level. But at undergraduate level of education GASC Kangeyam offers only BA, B.Com and B.Sc programmes which are the basic programmes offered by the college. The postgraduate short courses are also offered in MA Tamil and English, M.Sc Mathematics and Computer Science, M.Com. For the research point of view, the college has M.Phil courses in Tamil, English, and Commerce for which the college provides full time as well part time study. In view of its continued emphasis on research, the institute offers Ph.D programmes for full time and part time in Tamil, English, Commerce, Business Administration, Mathematics and Computer Science among others. Total number of students admitted to various courses is 805 strength proving the institutes ability to take in many prospective scholars.
