Government Arts College, Gandhinagar, is one of the main and the most important institutions located in Sector-15, near Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. It is a co-ed affiliated college under government ownership and is accredited with NAAC. It was instituted in the year 1991. It has a sprawling 19-acre campus and enrols 3,359 students. The faculty strength is an impressive 36.

The institution is very committed to providing an amiable learning environment; it has several facilities available to help students pursue their academic and personal growth. Besides these facilities, one of the most important would be the library with a humongous collection of 22,000 books, 80,409 e-books, 3,828 e-journals, and 14 periodicals. It is a full-time, three-year course and would provide a well-structured foundation to the learners in the arts stream. The BA course would incorporate all streams of interests under the arts category and thus often comprises subjects from literature, history, sociology, economics, etc., though the subject combinations differ.
