Government Arts, Commerce & Post graduate College, Hassan was started in the year 1946 is one among the leading institution situated at Hassan, Karnataka. The undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by this affiliated college include a multidisciplinary and comprehensive system that is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college stands in a campuses’ area of 24.5 acres total student enrolment is 2415; male student enrolment is 1722 while female student enrolment is 852. It currently employs 34 Faculty members and offered 14 courses in five degrees in the streams of arts, commerce and management education.

The Government Arts, Commerce & Post graduate College aims to provide the overall learning opportunities for the students besides providing a number of facilities to make the learning interesting. The Ramsdsell campus includes well equipped sports centre and all students are actively urged to take caring of their health through relevant activities emphasising on group spirit. An auditorium is a place for carrying out different events and seminars among which there are possibilities for intellectual development and support of culture. The college library is one of the necessities that make learning possible and easy, and which also assists individuals undertaking research. The college also provides first-class IT facilities which also means students are always connected and relevant technologically. For this reason, teachers feel better and are able to prepare for their work as well as students feel refreshed and rejuvenated to attend their classes, which make a cafeteria to be an essential place in any institution.

A total of 2,415 students are admitted in the college to study in all programmes offered by the college.
