Government Autonomous Ayurveda College and Hospital Rewa was established in 1973, is one of the premier institutions imparting education and providing treatment in Ayurveda system of medicine. This autonomous college is situated at Nipaniya, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh and offers all courses related to Ayurvedic system of medicine. Chauhan said, The institute has a faculty of 22 skilled professionals to impart quality education in traditional Indian medicine. At present the college has sprawling building serving 11 courses of four different degree levels Undergraduate, Postgraduate & Doctoral Programs and various specialisations of Ayurveda. It is a co-educational institution, and therefore embraces students of both sexes and all the cultural diversities.
The college has diverse amenities that are aimed at improving teaching and development of learners. It has been furnished with books of 10,742 in number including books on Ayurveda, Modern Medicine, Allied Sciences, 7 scientific journal. Even in the issue of sports, the institution takes its responsibility of nurturing a complete student into account by offering for sporting facilities. An auditorium has the function in providing the space to carry out events, seminars, and other activities related with intellectual and cultural topics. A health centre of the college is also available to provide first aid facilities for the college students. |Admission process in Government Autonomous Ayurveda College and Hospital, Rewa is different based on the course. As per NEET merit list, BAMS programme admission through All India Quota Counselling and State Quota Counselling. The admissions to D.Pharma Ayurveda are done directly through counseling conducted by the college on the basis of percentile of marks in 12th standard. Counseling for MD programs is done on the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) and the counselling of All India and State Quota seats. For the Undergraduate courses the college takes NEET scores and for the postgraduate courses, it takes AIAPGET scores for the admission process so as to maintain a fairness in the admission system.

Admission Process Degree wise
BAMS: The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery is a 5.5-year course that includes an internship. It is strictly based on NEET scores. NEET merit list and All India Quota and State Quota Counselling determine selection, and students must have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
D.Pharma Ayurveda: This is a diploma program in Ayurvedic pharmacy, and unlike BAMS, students are admitted on the basis of 12th standard marks. The college organizes counseling for direct admissions. The students should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in Their higher secondary education.
MD Samhita: The admission into this postgraduate program is based on performance in the AIAPGET exam. A BAMS degree from a recognized institution is mandatory. Competitive since there are only 5 available seats.
Ph.D Programs: The college offers different Ph.D. programs in specialized fields of Ayurveda. These include Kayachikitsa, Samhita, Shalya, and those in Shalakya, Prasooti, Shari Rachana, Panch Karma, Rog Nidan, and Kaumarbhritya. While further details regarding admission are not known for these programs, it is likely that a standard Ph.D. procedure should be followed.
