Government Ayurvedic Medical College Bangalore was established in 1967, which is one of the prime organizations for imparting Ayurvedic knowledge in Bengaluru. The institution offers 8 full time courses: Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The college has the approved undergraduate course of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) for 50 students. The postgraduate courses offered are MD Panchakarma, MD Rachana Sharira, MD Rasa Shastra Evam Bhaishajya Kalpana, MD Dravyaguna Vigyana, MD Roga Nidana Evam Vikriti Vigyana and MD Shalakya Tantram. These courses are advanced courses, which are presented to enhance the existing theoretical knowledge and practical experience of the studying students in different directions of the Ayurvedic system of medicine.
