Instead of this the college has been approved by Kerala government which is a state government. the college has been recognised as centre of Excellence with the status of Heritage College. Government Brennan college has been affiliated to Kannur University. It has also been accredited by National assessment and accuration Council with A plus grade. Besides this it has also been rank at 97th position by National Institute Ranking Framework. The college offers 50 to 60 seats in each of the course.
