Government Champhai College, Mizoram was established in 1971 at Vengthlang North Champhai it is an Affiliated college. As on date, college has forty computers with Internet facilities, out of which twenty five are in library and remaining fifteen are in BCA lab. Other facilities include the college canteen, college auditorium, college labs, guest house, a mini health care center with first aid section, an internet connectivity over the college campus, college bus for transportation etc. The college also has a gym for those students who are into body building and other extra physical activities.
There are total fifteen programmes offered in Champhai College all are under full time streams with an offer of only Government stream. These courses cut across the School of Computing and Information Technology, School of Arts, School of Science and School of Commerce respectively with the following programmes; BCA, BA with various honours in specific subjects, B.Sc with honours in a variety of subjects, B.Com. BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): Government Champhai College has 30 seats for its BCA course. Merit-based admission on the basis of 10+2 marks is given, giving priority to those with a maths or computer science background.

The college being government has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities such as proper classrooms with projectors and plug point which can also accommodate 100 students at once but lacks AC and Smart boards, there is no wifi, but has canteen services for both the students and the staffs. The college also provides us with parking space but no hostels or mess.
