The Government College at Bargi was started in 2013 and is an affiliated college in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. This is a fully fledged institution of higher learning that is located in a relatively peaceful neighborhood and majestically occupies a small piece of land of 0.404 acres. The college occupies the space of the government’s ownership at the present moment; therefore, it has 486 students and 7 qualified teachers. Government College, Bargi has only one degree program as evidence by the fact that it is a specialized institution. Despite being a young college it is gradually emerging as an institution to meet the educational needs of the youth of Jabalpur and its adjacent places.

This college is proud to present a number of subfacilities in improving the learning environment of students. The main learning facilities are a library that functions as a source of knowledge and information mainly offering students the necessary academic aids. For those interested in physical health and sports, the college provides sports amenities that meet multiple interests in physical activities. 

The campus as also an auditorium to help in the planning of academic and cultural meetings and this hence promoting the campus life. There is a cafeteria on the territory of the school to allow students to rest in the course of the day and have a lunch. Notably, the college has been established with boys’ & girls’ hostel facilities which will facilitate accommodation for distant students. Such hostels provide a home to the students while at the same time providing right atmosphere for learning and transformation. For the students and staff who drive to the college there is a parking facility which means added comfort to everybody.

As far as the academic programs are concerned, today the Government College, Bargi offers only one full-time course that is Bachelor of Arts (BA) course. This is a three-year underpart program approved to enroll 200 students, establishing the college’s capability to produce a large number of competitive graduates in every academic year. The BA program offers degree programs in humanities and social sciences and prepares the students for a number of employment avenues or higher education. Today, the college only has this one degree program but a clear indication of striving to provide quality education in arts.

The admission process of the Government College, Bargi is easy and uncomplicated in order to make education easily accessible. Students wishing to join the college to pursue the BA program must apply directly. Annual fees for the BA course are 9000 INR, which cannot be very expensive for many students in the region anymore.
