Government College, Khertha which started from 2008 is situated in Khertha of Chhattisgarh and it is a state college. This co-educational college is the constituent college of Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya Durg to provide the program in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences and Commerce. Sited on 9.78 acres, the college has a total of 571students enrolled in various colleges, the distribution of genders is 67% female in undergraduate and 63% in Graduates. Regarding this, the institution offers 4 courses under 4 degrees; participants in specialization areas in Political Science, Commerce and Science and 3 faculty members. 

The college provides various amenities that seem to improve the academic and co-curricular achievements of the learners. Total existing man power of the college at present has an intake capacity of total 285 students across all the courses offered by the college. The following enrollment was recorded in the most recent academic year: 571 students; undergraduate:525, postgraduate:46 students.
