Government College of Architecture and Sculpture established in Mahabalipuram in 1957 is a premier institution with specialised teaching of Art and architectural carve dedicated for conservation and practice of traditional art and architecture of India. Current, the college has a total intake capacity of sixty student for all the offered courses, among these the BFA in Traditional Sculpture course has the highest capacity of forty students. This format enables artisans to receive training in certain specific segments of old Indian artistic and architectural heritage.
