The land mark institutions among the Government aided institutions are namely Government College of Education, Komarapalayam which was established in the year 1955 situated at Namakkal,Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is dedicated to offer the quality education in teaching field. Located on a vast area of 9.23 acres, the college provides a good learning environment to its students. The institution admits 100 Students in all the classes and has a teaching staff of nine Teachers, therefore, it provides Quality Education through student-teacher relationship. College provides co-education male and female students, college ensures a composite environment for both boys and girls.

The Government College of Education, Komarapalayam has various amenities which make it to have a creative approach to its students’ learning. Medical college has well furnished laboratory to give practical experience in different courses. A one-stop-shop is an intellectual resource centre providing numerous books and reference documents. In the course of the all round development, the institution boasts of very good sporting amenities. As of now, only one B.Ed regular course is being offered in the Government College of Education, Komarapalayam. This course takes two years and has an approved student’s capacity of 100 students to retain the quality education in teacher training. The B.Ed course is one of the most demanding programmes for illustrating the aspiring teachers with the knowledge and skills required for teaching. As it is now, the college offers only this particular degree programme, it shows its devotion in providing quality teachers.

Government College of Education, Komarapalayam follows the admission norms of merit method which has been conveyed by the state government and the affiliated university.
