Government College Silphili of Surajpur was established in 2009 and it is an affiliated college in Surguja in the state of Chhattisgarh. Located in a spacious block oflandwith an area of 14,6 hectares this institution has been developing in the sphere of higher education for more than 10 years. The college is affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council-NAAC, to ensure that educational quality is preserved. The college has 356 students and 8 faculty members therefore the college is able to provide personalised education. Started in 1951, Silphili college offers three bachelor’s degree courses under the arts, commerce, and sciences faculties.

Government College Silphili, Surajpur offers three full-time courses: BA, B.Com B.Sc in Bio Group. The fiscal capacity approved for these programmes is 220 students per year and out of which programmes having maximum number of seats of 100 for BA, 60 for B.Com and the remaining 60 for B.Sc Bio Group respectively. This diverse range of courses enable the students to follow their course interests across humanities, commerce and life sciences.
