Government CPC Polytechnic, Mysore, is an old technical institution which is established in the year 1954 in Mysore, Karnataka. This, AICTE approved polytechnic, has a list of diploma courses offered in various branches of engineering. This institute occupies a 5.09 hectare campus and has an overall enrolment of 1,225 students and the institute has a total faculty of fifty four members. The institution has been in existence for almost seven decades as a Government CPC Polytechnic and has played a big role in preparing young engineers and technicians.

Government CPC Polytechnic boasts of adequate facilities that are encompassing for the improvement of the students. The library is a knowledge centre which collects a stock of more than 20 thousand volumes on most popular branches of science and engineering. It also takes subscription in eight newspaper and ten magazines so that students have all the resources at their disposal. Boys Hostel where 135 students are accommodated is fully manned by a full time lecturer. It uses the prefect system in hosting students and encourages senior students to be leaders. Sporting personalities will have an opportunity to practice in many respects due to the availability of many sports facilities in the college. To this effect, the institute has a wonderful IT and a strong belief in the sustenance of modern technological development.

Government CPC Polytechnic has total of 8 diploma courses such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering etc. and all of these courses are full time. These courses take 3 years each and offer the student a professional grounding in their respective fields. It offers an institute level intake of 540 seats, enlarged across its different courses, synonymous with the enormous capacity to cultivate countless technical professionals annually.
