Government Danteshwari PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Jagdalpur was established in 1972 which is one of the premier women’s college in Shanti Nagar, Frezarpur Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh. This affiliated college which is located in a campus area of 4.15 acre of land provides education to females only. Approved NAAC and affiliating Bharathiar University Coimbatore, the institute has a multiple of 13 courses under 6 degrees to cater the diverse student need. At present the college has a total of 450 students and faculty strength of 23 teachers, so the college has good student-teacher ratio which means better professional touch to the students. 

The college has a variety of infrastructures aimed at improving learning environment and personal development of the students. A part from the specialized services, the facility has a rich library with more than 10,000 text books and about 500 references and journals. The library has also a large reading room with most modern amenities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. For those who choose science courses, the college has put in place courses departmental laboratories to enable students gain laboratory practical experiences. It is known fact that the world is rapidly moving towards technological advancements especially in teaching and learning process, this has made the institution to equip with modern IT equipments necessary in addressing these changes. Sports facilities are provided to all the students who may want to engage in physical trainers or sporting activities. Further more the college has a girls hostel to extend out station students in a safe and comfortable manner.

Government Danteshwari P.G. Mahila Mahavidyalaya provides all sort of courses at various categories. It offers 13 full time programme which includes bachelors, masters and a postgraduate dairy. The total approved intake for all the courses is 780 to ensure that the college delivers education to many females in the region. Though the graduations data by the latest year is missing, more focus towards providing best education plays the major role in child development in this college.
