Education, Research and Training 2023 Government Danteshwari PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Jagdalpur an eminent institution for women situated at Shantinagar Frezarpur Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh. It carries the affiliation to Bharathiar University Coimbatore and is so recognized by NAAC in offering a varied spectrum of 13 courses under 6 degree programs. The admission system is meant to detect and select deserving candidates to their selected courses. The college follows a system of merit-based admission which is mainly oriented on the performance at the qualifying examinations. 

For undergraduate courses namely B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com, the minimum qualification is passing the 10+2 level or any other examination equal to it. For postgraduate courses, M.Sc. and M.A., the candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in the relevant subject. The various programs offered for admission are B.Com, B.Sc. (Home Science, Bio Group, Mathematics Group), B.A., M.Sc. (Anthropology, Food and Nutrition, Home Science), M.A. (Ancient Indian History Culture and Archaeology, Anthropology, Political Science, Sociology), and PGDCA.

Application Process

For Government Danteshwari PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Jagdalpur, the application process involves generally the following steps:

1. The advertisement for admission is done through various media and the official website of the college.

2. The application form for filling is available for candidates to download, either from the government Danteshwari PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya portal or can be obtained in person from the college admission office.

3. Applicants are required to submit the duly completed application form along with requisite documents; these normally include:

  •  Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th or bachelor's degree, whichever is applicable)
  • Transfer certificate
  • Character certificate
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Three passport-size photographs

4. The applications are scrutinized by the college admission committee, with the candidates' names enlisted in the merit list according to the marks secured in their qualifying examinations.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.A.: Admission is for a total of 240 seats in the B.A. program. The eligibility criteria are passing 10+2 or any examination deemed equivalent. It is most likely that the admission will be done on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination.

B.Sc.: Approximately 330 seats are kept open across different B.Sc. programs, including Home Science, Bio Group, and Mathematics Group. Candidates are expected to have appeared in subjects under Science for the 10+2 or equivalent examination.

B.Com.: The program of B.Com. has an intake of 50 seats. Eligibility is on the basis of completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination, most probably with consideration of commerce or related subjects.

M.Sc.: The M.Sc. programs provided by the college include Anthropology (10 seats), Food and Nutrition (15 seats), Home Science (15 seats). For admission to these programs, candidates should have completed their relevant bachelor's degree.

M.A.: Different discipline-wise M.A. programs in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology (25 seats), Anthropology (10 seats), Political Science (20 seats), and Sociology (20 seats) are available. For admission, a graduation degree in the relevant or allied subject is mandatory.

PGDCA: There are 45 seats of the PGDCA Program. The eligibility criterion is a bachelor's degree (10+2+3 pattern) from any recognized university.
