Government Degree College, Chevella, (GDC Chevella) is a co-education college was started in the year of 2008 and is located in Chevella of Telangana state. This is an affiliated college having provisions for a wide variety of under graduate courses. GDC Chevella offers an appropriate ratio of student intake which is 168 and faculty members which is 6 in total. Thus, the college provides 19 courses for four degrees with focuses on Arts, Sciences, Commerce. In this respect, as a government institution, it seeks to avail quality education to students it admits while at the same time promoting students’ holistic development.

Several facilities at GDC Chevella are available to confer the best experience to the students. Located in the college itself, there is the college library which comprises nearly one thousand two hundred books of different subjects including journals newspapers and magazines. It serves 228 undergraduate students, 12 teaching staff, and 2 non-teaching staff, operating from from 9:00AM to 04:00PM of the working days. There are sport amenities for all students which is essential in improving the physical fitness. The college also has functional science laboratories to meet the practical aspect of college science courses. In addition, GDC Chevella has focused on excellent IT facilities that will help students with effective and advance technological uses in their studies.

The institute provides a broad spectrum of undergraduate programmes; there are 19 full time programmes of the institute that are offered in different disciplines. These include Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelors of Commerce (B.Com) and Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA). Most of the courses are offered in English and Telugu languages to cater to the linguistic choices of the students. The total number of students that colleges intake is 168 and this has been attributed to make sure that the college has the best students-faculty ratio so that every class is favourable to the students. the courses offered include BA, BA Telugu Medium, B.Sc Life Science, B.Com Computer Applications, B.Sc Physical Science, and so on.
