Government Degree College, Dharmanagar or GDC Dharmanagar is one of the premier college for higher educations in Tripura since its establishment in 1979. It is affiliated college situated in North Tripura, India and has been delivering quality education to the students for more than 40 years. Situated on a large land area of 25.88 acres of land, GDC Dharmanagar cherishes a campus with a variety of faculty including 4,139 students. This college has 27 faculty members who are focused and assertive, willing to put all the efforts to build up their students’ intellectuals. GDC Dharmanagar offers 22 courses in 8 different degrees assuring a complete learning process from theinstitution. The college have been accredited and recognised by the National Assessment and Accrediation Council ( NAAC) to boost on quality education offerd.

GDC Dharmanagar boasts of providing amenities that make a great addition to the students learning processes. The college library holds about 34,085 reading materials, excluding journals, which are textbooks and reference books in various fields. For sporting personality, the campus comprises of badminton, volley ball, cricket, football grounds. A small gym has been provided for the students and staff with the intention of possessing their physical activities. Medical help is also emphasised in the college where the institution offers facilities for medical attendance and a health centre. Due to growing complexity in innovation, GDC Dharmanagar has been well equipped with advanced computer laboratories that are coupled with higher bandwidth connectivity. Campus also provides the facility of Wi-Fi so that students can freely get their respective stuff from internet.

GDC Dharmanagar offers a total of 22 full time courses in different disciplines in the institution making the institution a melting port of academics. These programmes span various areas of interest and fields of specialisation which include Humanities and Social Sciences, Commerce and Natural Science respectively. The college offers intake for 4,139 students in all its course offered implying that it offers equal opportunities for the learners. The courses offered include B.Com, BA Kokborok, BA Political Science, BA Bengali, BA English, BA Education, B.Com Hons, BA Philosophy, BA History and so on.

The mode of admission at GDC Dharmanagar is mostly on the grounds of merit, following reservation policy of the state government. CUET UG is accepted for admission in the college, as it follows the norm of the national level. The campus has a 30 seated ST boys hostel that accommodation tribal male students are permitted to live within the institution. This one has free Wi-Fi and primary medical services and since residents are patients with chronic ailments, they need comfortable accommodation.
