The Government Degree College, Dharmanagar (GDC Dharmanagar), the most prestigious institution for higher education in Tripura. The college offers several undergraduate programs in Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce, and Natural Sciences. The admission procedure is so shaped as to choose `winners' amongst deserving candidates with consideration of the reservation policy of the state government.  The college has a strong preference in the merit selection for the admission of deserving candidates with scores in the qualifying examination. 

Depending on the national-level rules, GDC Dharmanagar also considers CUET UG scores for admission. The online examination of CUET UG will be conducted from 15th May to 24th May 2025. Candidates are put under notice that the admission round is often conducted two to three preceding months from the normal commencement of the academic year. Application Process
