The Government Degree College for Women Baramulla was set up in 1986 is a co-educational institution of higher learning for women situated in north Indian territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Situated in Baramulla opposite the State Bank of India this affiliated college was established with the noble view of nurturing the young generation for over three decades. Located over a compact area of 4.625 acres, the institution is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council abbreviated as NAAC meaning business assurance mainly in the educational context. This college has 2,855 students and 22 faculty members currently. The college has offered six undergraduate programmes under four degrees to meet students’ various educational demands and career goals.
