Government Degree College, Godavarikhani, was started in 1981 at Godavarikhani in Ramagundam of Karimnagar district in Telangana. This affiliated college with NAAC recognition provide numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different fields. Located on 25 acres, it offers its 774 total enroled students and 14 faculty members. Offering 19 courses and 6 degrees, the institute offers specialisations mainly in Sciences, Commerce, Arts, and Management. The distribution of them as 450 male and 590 female of students make sure that the college offer education to all regardless of the gender.

Government Degree College, Godavarikhani, boasts of adequate resource facilities for quality improvement and academic advancement for the students. The college has a rich library and other related study materials ensuring that all the students in attendance have all the material they need. The campus has departmental laboratories, where skills can be practiced by students in science related fields. For physical fitness and recreation, the college provides sport equipment and a gym. The institution also has an auditorium for attending and holding of events and seminars. Due to current technological development, the college has incorporated good better IT facilities and smart classes. There is the provision and preparation of meals for students and staff, done for the students’ cafeteria. Government Degree College, Godavarikhani provides a diverse number of courses to its learners. About the institute, it offers 19 courses and the degree offered by the institute includes undergraduate and postgraduate degree programme. At undergraduate level, students have B.Sc options like Mathematics, Physics and Computers, Botany, Zoology and Chemistry, or advanced combinations of Biochemistry, Botany and Chemistry among others. The college also has the following B.Com programmes, courses in Computer Applications, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). For the Humanities inclined students, there are B.A programmes in Economics and History and Political Science. On the post graduate level under part-III, it offers M.Com and MA English. Most importantly, some of the courses could be pursued in Telugu medium, thereby satisfying regional language applicants. The aggregate total for all the courses is 774 and there is additional information for some course on intakes. For instance, B.Sc in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science has 60 reserve places and M.Com and MA English has only Forty reserve places.
