The Government Degree College (GDC), Manthani was started in 1981. GDC Manthani is accredited with a B+ grade in NAAC grading. The college provides undergraduate courses with several specialities. GDC Manthani offers B.Sc courses with a combination of Maths, Physics, Chemistry/Computer Science and Botany, Zoology and Chemistry. 

Students can pursue the BA courses in a full-time mode with specialisations in Economics, Chemistry and Political Science. GDC Manthani also provides B.Com with Computer Applications. Admission to the programmes is based on the qualifying marks secured in the senior secondary examination through the DOST portal of the Telangana Government. 

The college provides several amenities including a library, sports facilities, laboratories, IT infrastructure, and other facilities to benefit from the advancements in infrastructure. The college has sufficient facilities to support better learning for students. The Government Degree College Manthani is affiliated with the Satavahana University, Karimnagar.
