Government Dental College and Research Institute, Bangalore, was established in 1958 to provide higher education in the stream of dentistry. In 2007, the college was declared an autonomous institute by the Government of Karnataka. It is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The Government Dental College Bangalore offers the courses of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS).
The admissions in GDCRI Bangalore are welcomed through an eligible score in national entrance examination of NEET.
