About GEC Idukki

Government Engineering College, Idukki was established in the year 2000  under the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala. The college is known as GEC Idukki and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

GEC Idukki is a government college which offers courses in seven branches. Government Engineering College, Idukki is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram. GEC Idukki offers a total of 9 courses.

GEC Idukki Scholarship

Government Engineering College, Idukki scholarships are available to its students based on their performance in academics. Similarly, The Government of Kerala also introduced various scholarships to meritorious students belonging to socially and economically backward categories. For these scholarships, GEC Idukki students have to meet the eligibility requirements. 

The first step to getting these GEC Idukki scholarships is that the candidates have to apply with the required details. To avail of those scholarships, GEC Idukki students have to fulfill the eligibility criteria like performance in academics, annual income of parents, categories etc. The scholarships for GEC Idukki students are Central Sector Scholarship, Merit Scholarship to the Children of School Teachers, Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship, Muslim Girls Scholarship, Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship, State Merit Scholarship, District Merit Scholarship, Merit Cum Means Scholarship and Meana Scholarship. 

GEC Idukki students can also avail sports scholarship from MG University and this scholarship is awarded to selected students for their outstanding performance in games and sports. In the Fisheries grant, the Fisheries Development Department provides educational assistance to children of registered fishermen. For this scholarship, candidates have to fill the application form available only from the Fisheries office. Further candidates have to submit some documents like attested copies of SSLC, 10+2 certificate, income certificate, caste certificate.

State Merit Scholarship

Graduation Rs.1250/- per annum


Post Graduation Rs. 1,500/- per annum
