GEC Koderma is a self financing governmental engineering college of Jharkhand which is located at Baghitand, Koderma district of Jharkhand, India. This affiliated college was set up in 1958 and has been fostering engineering education for more than sixty years. Located in the middle of Jharkhand, GEC Koderma provides prospect engineering courses to train its candidates according to current market. The college has adequate learning facilities throughout its compounds within which it has nurtured academic prowess alongside skills practicality.

Like other institutions, facilities that help in the accomplishment of the students’ educational objectives are available in GEC Koderma. The college possesses a large library which can be seen as an information center of the college on hand for students and tutors. For lovers of sports as well as exercise, the institution provides sporting amenities since the school believes in the balanced education both in curricular and co–curricular activities. Every department found in the university is equipped with modern facilities and laboratories in order to enable the students to have practical sessions with equipment in their chosen disciplinary areas. The college means that learners remain connected and obtains technology necessities to facilitate contemporary engineering education. An auditorium on the campus is used in academic meetings, seminars, cultural activities, and other affairs in enhancing the colleges activity. The campus has also provided a cafeteria to enhance social interaction of students. To the visitors and guests, the college offers guest room amenities. For its convenience, the GEC Koderma has separate hostels for boys and girls to provide the outstation students a home away from home. The college also has provision of health center with first aid amenities in a bid to give medical attention to students and colleges.

In total, GEC Koderma teaches five full time B.Tech programs, all of which take four years to complete. These programs focus on important engineering specialties and given the students a solid base of knowledge in the chosen fields. The college thus offers intake capacity of 300 students for all its B.Tech programs for which there are sixty seats for each course. This we ensure that our ratio of students to faculty is well controlled such that each student gets the attention deserved and quality education.
