Government Engineering College, Ramanagara (GECR) was set up in the year 2007 and the college is situated at Doddamannina Gudde, near Janapada Loka, Ramanagara, Karnataka. This affiliated college approved with AICTE stands in its 19.3 acres land spreading campus to provide various engineering courses. From the above tabulations GECR boasts of a student capacity of 772 and faculty 47 in which the institution facilitates technical education.

The college library which started alongside the college in 2007 currently boasts of storing 7,608 volumes to support the academic growth of the college in all fields. Facilities include practical demonstrative laboratories such as Chemistry, Computer, Foundry, and Forging, Geology, Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Measurements and Metrology, Microprocessor, Physics, and Survey labs. The institute is currently comprised of four undergraduate engineering programs and all these programs take full time. Some of existing BE programmes are BE in Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical and Smart Manufacturing Engineering.
