Government First Grade College, Holalkere, is an affiliated college and was established in 2007, located in Holalkere, Chitradurga district of Karnataka. This institution located on a 1.2 acre features a wide list of undergraduate courses for 476 students enroled in this institution. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council accredits the college in affirmation of the college’s stand on the quality college. At present, the college has a total of 11 competent and committed faculty members to improve the students’ learning in different field of their learning. 

To accommodate the general learning needs of the students, Government First Grade College, Holalkere, provides a number of facilities. A fully stocked library is considered an outstanding learning resource with more than 11065 books for storage as well as offering accommodation to 20 students at a given time. On the same, there are e-journals and library e-books; three computers connected to the Internet are also available. The campus provides Wi-Fi to the entire campus layout with internet hotspots at strategic points, these include the principal's chamber, office, staffrooms, computer laboratory, and the library. The facilities that may interest technology enthusiasts include a computer laboratory with 12 computers wired to the internet. The indoor and outdoor amenities for game and sports include college playground and when necessary the municipal ground. The Physics and Chemistry department labs provide the necessary practical facilities for science students of the college.

There are totally 4 undergraduate courses that are of full time. It offers a number of courses in the stream of Arts, Commerce and Science. The courses offererd are B.Sc, BA, B.Com and BBM.
