Government First Grade College, Hoskote (GFGCH) being one of the established educational institution in the year 1985 is located in the emerging city Hoskote of Karnataka. This affiliated college on a 3.1 acre plot has undergone a process of teaching students for more than three decades. The GFGCH is accredited by NAAC, and to this end the institution is a model of excellence in the region. The college teaches 215 motivated students 16 courses across 8 degree programs, with small class sizes. A dedicated team for faculty of 29 members is also there with the support of which the institution has a rich student faculty ratio which is more advantageous to the students as the teachers are able to provide individual attention and direction.

1. Students need to have a Bachelor's degree in that subject from a recognized university.
2. Register for the centralized counseling process organized by Bangalore University.
3. Participating in the counseling process based on merit cum roster-system consideration.
4. In case of allotment, the candidate has to report at GFGCH for document verification and admission formalities.
Degree wise Admission Process
BA Courses: There are different BA courses available at GFGCH which vary in optional subjects C according to program: Optional English, Political Science and Journalism; History, Economics and Political Science; History, Economics and Sociology; History, Economics and Optional English; and History, Sociology and Optional Kannada. Admission to these programs will be based on merit as laid down by the Government of Karnataka.
B.Sc Courses: The college has varied B.Sc courses such as Life Science, Chemistry and Environmental Science; Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics; Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science; Chemistry, Botany and Zoology; and Physics, Mathematics and Electronics. Merit admission, according to Government of Karnataka regulations, is used for these courses.
BBA and B.Com: Merit for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Programs involves regulations set forth by the Government of Karnataka.
BCA: The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program uses a merit-based system of admission according to the guidelines of the Government of Karnataka.
Postgraduate Courses: The postgraduate courses available in GFGCH include MA Political Science, M.Com, and M.Sc Physics. The admission for these PG programs is through a centralized counseling process held by Bangalore University based on the merit and roster systems.

It entirely depends upon the college you choose. Most of the colleges might have started their portions or semester in the August and during the October it is almost the semester end. Therefore many of the colleges won't allow the candidates from other colleges in October. Some colleges will give the admission.
