Government first Grade college, Kurugodu was started in the year 2006 It is ballari district affiliated college in the state of Karnataka. She is a coeducational institution located in Different acres of land where it is have 3.85 acre with different Undergraduate programmes. The college has student strength of 535 and faculty that consists of only 2 people; therefore teaching-learning process in this college is personalised. The institution provides 8 courses under four degree programmes in Arts Commerce and Science streams and specialisation areas. 

Government first Grade college has a number of amenities that aim at making the student ‘s learning experience better. A well equipped library is always a centre of learning and knowledge for students where ever yuyu yuyu they get materials that will assist them in their studies.
