Government First Grade College, Manahalli or GFGCM is a government college for all the sex propagating in 2007 and situated in Bidar city of Karnataka. Situated on a 4 acre of land, this affiliated college has a large variety of undergraduate programmes for 185 students enroled in this institution. GFGCM has a special faculty of eleven members with twenty to forty students learning across the five courses offered and three degree programmes. It has pride in asserting that it is an NAAC accredited college geared towards providing top notch learning experience. The specialisations for GFGCM are based on Commerce, Management, Arts and Science, which makes it serve a broad range of students’ learning needs.

Government First Grade College has many amenities that were put in place to support the learning needs of the students in the college. The gist of these facilities is the centralised library and Information Centre inaugurated in 2007-08. This knowledge centre contains a large number of text books, reference books, journals and magazines and leading newspapers to update the students on current affairs. For the physically challenged students, GFGCM provides both boys’ and girls’ hostel services, and adequate hostel provision is available for all its students. The campus also has a canteen that provides students and staff with a meal and at the same time a recreational area. For the development of the students’ health, a college offers sports facilities and has its own medical facility on the territory of the institution. It has an advanced IT infrastructure with well equipped and advanced technology learning system used at GFGCM. For the visitors they have a guest room/waiting area. The college also encourages the developments of social networks as students’ relationships do not end with graduations.

The Government First Grade College, Manahalli has in total 5 full time undergraduate courses in the following fields. These programmes have been developed with a view to ensuring that students who undertake them have the ingredients they need so that they can successfully pursue studies in the areas of specialisation of their choice when they complete their studies. These courses are B.Com, BBM (Bachelor of Business Management), two BA programmes-History Economics and Political Science; History Economics and Sociology and B.Sc Physics Mathematics and Computer Science.
