Government First Grade College at Pandavapura was established in the year 2007 catering to higher educational needs in the heart of Karnataka state. This affiliated college begins in Pandavapura Taluk of Mandya District, and has been gradually expanding its area of course.This institution occupies two buildings on the 10 acres of land and has in its employ, a faculty of 15 members to mentor the 621 students enrolled there. Indeed, the college is now an accredited member of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) thus the college’s credentials are a point of quality education.

Realising how important the infrastructure is for the college of its size and development, the college boasts of a number of facilities to improve students’ learning. The central component of these amenities is the college library which comprises of 10113 books out of which include standard collections to suit the needs of the students practising in various courses. The library also affords students Internet connection so students can easily get resourceful information they require. To support practical workouts, Government First Grade College at Pandavapura has developed departmental laboratory facilities to ensure the students get a practical touch with the concepts learnt. The sports facilities of the institution are well developed in an aspect whereby students use the neighbouring Pandava Stadium for exercises and championships.

Government First Grade College, Pandavapura has in total 9 courses offered out of which 4 programmes consisting of B.Com, BBM, B.Com (CA) are of full time studies. Many fields of study are offered at the college in order to meet all sorts of interests and needs in relation to a particular occupation. It offers Bachelor of Arts (BA) with option subjects and combinations: History ,Economics & Political Science etc. As for the students interested in management courses, the college provides a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course. Commerce lovers can go for B.Com, where as science lovers can get B.Sc in Physics Mathematics and Computer Science. This variety makes sure that students have all the options as they join university in order to fit them for certain careers.
